Stage 4 — Results & Reports

The heat-loss report, room by room and for the whole house, with recommendations, and the reports Building Control ask for.

Methodology: Everything here is derived from the survey — change a wall's construction and the figures move. The heat-loss report sizes radiators and heat pumps and makes the case for insulation or window work; the Building-regs report is the paper trail. The Ventilation register (under Documentation) reads the same rooms for its Part F requirement.

Steps:

  1. Read Heat-loss report & recommendations for the whole-house figure and the rooms that lose most.
  2. Press Building-regs report when Building Control need the calculation.
  3. Press PDF or Print for a copy to file or send to a heating engineer.
  4. Go back to Stage 1 to correct anything the report shows up, then on to the Item Schedule.
