Cashflow

Your cash position and runway across everything: accounts and opening balances, money scheduled in and out, forecasts, and a warning when the pot runs short.

Methodology: Cash is one pot at your level, not per project — the runway reflects everything you are funding at once. Each expected payment is counted exactly once, at its most reliable source: an actual payment supersedes the scheduled stage it settles, and a schedule supersedes the rough forecast it replaces, so nothing is double-counted as plans firm up.

How to use: Budget by Phase shows whether the money lasts the build; Forecast is the week-by-week runway with the shortfall banner; Cash Accounts is where the balances live; Funding & Recurring holds drawdowns, sale proceeds and standing outgoings.

Steps:

  1. On Cash Accounts press Add account: name, type, the balance and the date it was correct. That is the opening balance.
  2. Mark the account that Pays from here and tick In forecast on the ones that count.
  3. Set the forecast horizon and the Warn me below buffer in Forecast settings.
  4. On Funding & Recurring press Add item for mortgage payments, rent, fees and funding drawdowns (or Import from feasibility with one project in scope). Do not add invoices or stages — they are already counted.
  5. Use the scope selector to look at one project's payments or the whole portfolio, and keep balances fresh — stale ones are flagged after two weeks.
