Phases board

Part of Money.

One row per phase walking the money through budget → quotes → contract & plan → invoiced → paid, with the project-level payment plan underneath.

Methodology: A phase's money has a lifecycle — Not started, Budgeting, Quoting, Contracted, Invoicing, Paid — and the board shows where each one is. The budget figure here is the allowance every quote is measured against; it can be a rough split of the feasibility budget long before anything is priced. Jobs cancelled to Not doing sit outside the totals.

Steps:

  1. Enter a budget against each phase — the first number that makes Budget by Phase and the cashflow run-out mean anything.
  2. Open a phase row to drill down: its quotes, its payment plan (Use a template / Add stage), its invoices and payments.
  3. Press Get quotes in the drill-down to send a quote request, or Record a quote for one you already have.
  4. Use the Project-level payment plan editor below the board only for schedules that span the whole project.
