Financial calendar
Part of Money.
The project's money by date: payments made, scheduled and committed payments still to leave, and the invoices and quotes that arrived.
Methodology: Four layers answer four different questions about the same money. Scheduled / committed payments is what is still to leave — outstanding invoices and payment-plan stages — on the day each falls due. Payments made is what has left, on the day it left. Invoices received and Quotes received are the paperwork, on the day it is dated. A scheduled payment is struck through on its date once it is done, solid red while it is still owed and overdue, and comes off the calendar when it is marked N/A.
Steps:
- Use Show to choose the layers, and Day, Week or Month to zoom; the totals top right are what is due and what was paid in the period on show.
- Click a scheduled payment to move its Due date, or press Done to record the full amount as paid today. Pay… opens the full dialog when the date or method differs, or a signed receipt is wanted.
- Press N/A on a payment that is not owed: an invoice is voided and a stage cancelled, both kept on record, and the toast offers Undo. A part-paid invoice cannot be N/A — settle or amend it instead.
- Click a payment made, an invoice or a quote to read it, with a link to its register.
