Payments
Part of Money.
What has actually left the bank: paid to date, due in the next 14 days and overdue, with a dialog to record a payment and take a signed receipt.
Methodology: A payment settles a stage or an invoice and supersedes it in the cashflow, so money is never counted twice. Cash and cheque payments can capture the supplier's signature on the phone and a receipt is emailed with the signature attached. Payments without an invoice (a one-off, a deposit in cash) are recorded against the phase directly.
Steps:
- Read the tiles — Paid to date, Due next 14 days, Overdue — and the due list beneath.
- Press Record a payment: who you are paying, the phase, optionally the job and the stage it settles, what it is for, amount, date, method and reference.
- Hand the phone to the supplier to sign when paying in cash; the receipt is stored and emailed.
- Signatures missed on site can be collected later from On Site → Get a Signature.
