Gmail Folder Sync

Under Account & settings in the menu. Open the page

One-time set-up: link each project to the Gmail folder its correspondence is filed under.

Methodology: The app imports mail by folder rather than reading the whole inbox, so the folder tree is the filing plan — everything under a project's folder is filed to that project, and sub-folders set a new supplier's trade. Link the project folder, not the property folder, or a second project's mail lands in the first.

Steps:

  1. Step 1: Connect Gmail in Integrations if you have not already.
  2. Step 2: beside each project press Link folder (or Change folder) and pick its Gmail folder; Sync now pulls it in, Full resync reads the whole folder again.
  3. Step 3 (optional): set a Historic email date and press Save to reach further back.
  4. Day to day, use Sync now on the Email page; come back here only when you start a new project.
